Adyen: Payment Device Setup

Summary

This document will detail how to set up an Adyen external payment peripheral.

Enable Terminal API

On the Adyen site at the Company scope (not the merchant or site scope), enable the Terminal API.

ECM Payment Device Configuration

When adding a new Adyen payment device for a site, the required info to populate the form can be found in your Adyen account.

  • Name: Find on Adyen site. Point of sale > Terminals > Click the specific device > About this terminal

  • Port Number: 8443

  • Host: The static IP address set on the device.

    • Example for the V400m device:

       

    • Press 9 then Enter to access the Admin menu. Find the admin passcode on the Adyen site. Point of sale > Terminals > Click the specific device > Passcodes > Decrypted

    •  

      Select Network

    • Select Wi-Fi

      Click the info icon

      Click IP settings

    • Enter IP info

  • Key Identifier/Password/Key Version: Find on Adyen site. Point of sale > Terminals > Click the specific device > Integrations > Encryption key > Key identifier > Decrypted

  • Crypto Version: 1

  • Tip: Determines if the device prompts for customer to enter a tip or not

  • Disabled: Determines if the device can be used by the POS or not

 

Adyen logs can be found at site local server level under file path: C:\Program Files\Custom Business Solutions\NorthStar Payment Adyen
