Devices
Summary
POS devices (iPads, Windows terminals) are managed for a site on the Devices page. A device PIN is assigned to each device to allow it to connect to a specific site.
When a new device is added, a device PIN is assigned that is specific to the site
An existing device can be assigned a new device PIN by revoking the current PIN first
An administrator can add, edit or disable a device and can revoke and assign device PINs.
Configuration
Columns can be filtered to show a subset of records.

Search | Enter one or more characters to search the Name and/or Description fields, then click Search |
Edit (pencil icon) | Click to open edit page for selected device |

Device PIN | Unique device PIN assigned to device at site |
Is Registered | The device becomes registered when it is used to sign in to the site using the IP address and the device PIN |
Revoke | Click to revoke the existing PIN and generate a new PIN |
Disabled | Select to disable a device |
Save Cancel Apply | Save - Save changes and close page Cancel - Discard changes and close page Apply - Apply changes and remain on page |
Add device
Click Add Device
Select the number of devices to be added
Click Save to add the devices or Cancel to discard changes and close the window
After adding a device or devices, the new device(s) will appear in the grid
Name and Description are automatically assigned; these can be edited as needed
A device PIN is automatically assigned; this will be used to log in to the site on the new device
A device PIN can only be used once
Edit device

Click the pencil icon to edit a device
Edit new device
Edit the name and description as desired
The new device PIN will be shown (can only be used once)
Registration ID will not be shown until the device has been used to log in to the site
Edit existing device
Edit the name and description as desired
The device PIN will be not shown since it's been used to access the site
Registration ID will be shown because the device has been used to log in to the site
Register device on site
After a device PIN has been assigned to a device, the device can be registered on the site
Open the Order Entry application
If using a new device, enter the IP address for the site. If using an existing device with a new device PIN, the IP address will be shown
Enter the device PIN, then click Enter PIN
The device will be connected and the application will load, opening to the login screen
