Bar Service

Summary

A location can be configured in bar service mode. In bar service mode, a bar tab can be run for a guest and a guest identifier can be added to an order.

When ordering and an item is sent to the kitchen, the check is cleared from the location and the location becomes available for the next order. 

Configuration 

Configure a location to bar service in ECM: Sites > Site > Areas > Location > Edit Location 

Click the down arrow under Default Operation Mode and click Bar Service.

  

Operation

Create and submit a bar order

  1.  Attach the iPad to a location that is in Bar Service mode.

 

2. In the Location Manager, tap Start Tab, at top left.

 

3. Create a guest identifier and order the items. The Submit Order tally will change with each item added.

 

4. Tap Submit Order to send the order to the bar. The check will be "parked" and the screen will return to Location Manager where the process can be repeated for a new order.

    

Take payment 

  1. From the Location Manager, tap Checks to view unpaid checks.

 

2. The Open tabs list will display checks sorted by Guest Identifier

 


3. Tap a check from list and tap Open. This will re-open the check.

 

 

3. Tap Payment.

4. Select the method of payment and apply the payment.

5. After payment is applied, finalize the transaction.

6. The screen will return to the Location Manager.
