Scan Type 2 Barcodes (iOS app) - Videos

Summary

Bar codes can be printed on a receipt and then scanned via a scanner or camera device to cash out customers quickly. 

Configuration 

Menu item must has a PLU/Barcode Number. 

EXAMPLE: 

• Menu item price: 6.24 (embedded in the type 2 barcode)

  • Sample Barcode: 210057006249

    • 2 = Type 2 barcode

      10057 = Menu item PLU number

      00624 = Price (the last 2 digits are decimal places, so the price will be 6.24)

      9 = check reference(not used)

Barcode scanning scenarios

Scenario 1

• Scan type-2 barcode with 2d scanner device in table service location

Scenario 2

• Scan type-2 barcode thru iOS camera scanner in table service location (barcode and QR code)

Scenario 3

• Scan type-2 barcode and normal PLU barcode thru 2d scanner device in Kiosk guest UI

Scenario 4

• Scan type 2-barcode and normal PLU barcode thru 2d scanner device in Kiosk staff UI
