Windows OE USB Printer Installation Guide

Windows OE allows for the connection of a USB printer to the Windows terminal. This requires the Epson printer driver to be installed locally on the terminal along with an additional ECM configuration on the printer and the device using it.

Windows USB printing requires this feature flag to be enabled:

Install the Epson printer driver (TM-88VI/U220) on the Windows device it will be connected to. Select USB as the Port Type in Communication Settings

Configure the printer in ECM for USB printing by selecting “Remote Printer” and the Windows device it will be connected to.

Ensure the device is set to print to this specific printer and that the printer is checked as a “USB Printer for Windows App”
