PAX D190 (QRG and setup)

The D190, will replace the D210 and D220 as a mobile card reader (Wi-Fi) for Order Entry. The PAX D190 is a portable Wi-Fi device that can read credit cards through tap or contactless NFC, insert chip, or magnetic swipe. It is very fast and small which makes it ideal for full service.

To begin using the device unplugged, and verify the battery is working, a protective tab will need to be removed between the battery and the device connectors. The backside of the device can be slid down to expose the battery, the serial number and the magnetic head for the reader.

Remove any plastic tab, if present and not already removed. It will usually be an orange/red or white plastic strip stuck to the top of the battery.

The device can be updated with the processor application and configuration from PAXStore using the device's Serial Number.
