Verifone VX805 - Payment Initialization for Order Entry (MSR/Apple Pay/Google Wallet/NFC)

(Common misspelling: "Veriphone")

NOTE: Before starting, the Serial to IP box (Installing a Lantronix Serial-to-Ethernet Device) must be set up. (Not necessary if you're directly connecting the device to the Order Entry Server.) 

• Unpack the Verifone device from box. Connect proper cables and power to the device.

ECM Configuration 

Connect to ECM for the specified site. 

• Peripherals: 

  • Select Peripherals tab > Payment Devices

  • Add this device. (Be sure you know the COM port it's attached to on either the Serial-to-IP box or on the Order Entry server.) 

• Devices: 

  • Select the Devices tab

  • Select Device > Edit (pencil icon) > Device Peripherals > Available Payment Devices

  • Select the device to associate the device/iPad

• Deploy the changes to the site.

Order Entry 

• On the iPad, open Order Entry. 

  • Swipe to Cashier Menu page

  • Tap Edit Settings 

  • Tap the box icon on the bottom left, then tap Initialize NFC (Near-Field Communication).

• The VX805 device will reboot and initialize the software. 

• When complete, Apple Pay will be available in the payment screen by tapping the payment signal icon.
