Employee Reports

Summary

Employee reports provide information on time records, labor information, cashouts and tip distribution to inform management and provide data to assist the business. 

Decimal place setting

An optional feature allows Admin users to select the number of decimal places to use when rounding employee hours on time record reports. 

Optional feature - Account feature toggle required

An account feature toggle must be enabled for your account to use this feature:

Please contact your NorthStar representative to have this feature enabled for your account.

With this feature enabled, the number of decimal places can be set for the following reports 

  • Time Records report

  • Payroll Summary report 

  • Labor Summary report 

  • Tip Distribution report 

On these reports, a gear icon has been added next to Reports. 

  • Click to open Report Settings: 

  • In Report Settings, select the number of decimal places to round and display hours: 

  • Save selection.

  • Reports (in ECM and exported files) will reflect hours rounded to the number of decimal places selected. 

Export files

Reports can be exported to Excel, PDF or CSV formats. In Excel or PDF format, the exported reports include a header with:

  • Report title 

  • Sites included in the report

  • Date range of the report 

  • Report run time 

  • Who ran the report
