Cash Pre-Auth

The cash pre-auth feature is not currently implemented. See OE-25.
Summary
In guest-facing mode, an area and location can be configured to require credit card pre-authorization before the guest can order. If the guest prefers to use cash instead, the server can use the Cash Pre-Auth button to bypass the credit card requirement and allow the table to order menu items and pay their check with cash.
Configuration
Cash Pre-Auth is a location setting:
- Site > Areas > select area >
- Edit - Area - flag Pre Auth
- Go to Locations
- Select location
- Flag Cash Pre Auth
- Deploy site
If a location is set up to require Cash Pre-Authorization, then this button must be selected before a guest (or server) can order a menu item.
Operation
In Guest-facing mode, if CC pre-auth is set, the guest will be asked to swipe their credit card to begin.
If the guest prefers to use cash, the server can log in, swipe to the Location Menu and tap Cash Pre-auth.
After tapping Cash Pre-auth, the screen returns to the guest-facing screen (either menu selection, featured items or a default menu) to allow the guest to begin ordering items.
