Location Manager

Summary

The Location Manager page is usually the first page presented after logging in to Order Entry. 

The Location Manager encompasses many functions to help a site manage their locations, server assignments, team assignments, checks, layouts, etc. These functions are detailed on other pages in this section. This page provides an overview of the location manager. 

The Location Manager page consists of many functional elements. From the Location Manager, the user can:

Keypad

Tap Keypad to display a vertical list of locations on the location map and a keypad to enter a location number.

The location list can also be prompted by using a two-finger tap on the location map. 

Checks

Tap to display a list of all active checks

  • When tapped, a list of checks for the current user will be shown

  • Tap the plus sign next to Owners to add other session owners to the list; tap Search to refresh the search results 

  

  • Check Number: If a check number for a closed check is entered, the option to "Reopen Check" will appear. The user's device must be attached to an empty location to reopen the check. 

Layouts

Tap the layouts icon to display a drop-down list of all layouts configured for the site.
(This icon does not appear if the site has only one layout.)

User name

Tap to display a drop-down list of User Options:

  • Time Clock

  • Cash Out 

Break Notifications will appear for management users with permission to manage breaks. (Sites > Time Clock > Break Permissions)

Tap to log out the current user

Device not attached to location: A long press (press and hold) on a location that does not have a device attached displays a shortcut menu with options to: 

  • Attach to the location

  • Detach all devices (from all locations)

Device attached to location: A long press on a location that has a device attached displays a shortcut menu with options to: 

  • Detach device from the location 

  • View/select the Session Owner for the attached location

  • Detach all devices (from all locations)

Session Owner - When Session Owner is tapped, a list of users appears.

  • If there is no session owner for the location, tap a name to select a session owner 

  • If the location has a session owner, the user name will be selected. Tap a different name to select a new session owner. 

Visual cues

Visual cue indicators provide helpful information about a location. The golden color, for example, indicates the user is currently attached to this location: 

A flashing icon indicates the location has an unsent order.
