Checks

Summary

On Location Manager, tap Checks to view all active checks for the current user on the current day listed in a pop-up window. This allows the user to quickly find and access active checks for better service to guests.

The default result shows the current owner's active checks for the day. My Checks also allows users to filter lists to find specific checks more easily or search for a check by check number, time of day, approximate amount or other parameters. The search results will display active checks for the current day.

Screen Elements

Item	Description
Default display	Tap Checks to show the current owner's active checks for the day. These are checks that are not yet finalized. (Paid checks that are not yet finalized will display.)
Check Number	Tap in the text field to open the numerical keypad and enter the desired check number. Tap Search to refresh the search results. Options: Reopen Check Print Tap Reopen Check An alert message will advise that the device must first be attached to a location to reopen the check
Time of Day selector	Default: From Start of Day to End of Day My Checks shows the current owner's active checks for the day. By default, closed checks, previous days' checks and checks owned by others are not displayed. Tap the selector to select a time range for Today: Tap Done, then tap Search to refresh the search results.
Approx. Amt	Tap in the text field to open the numerical keypad and enter the approximate amount (excluding tip) to search. Tap Search. Any check that has a balance within $5 of the amount entered will be displayed.
Location Number	Tap in the text field to open the numerical keypad and enter a location number. Tap Search to refresh the search results.
Last 4 Digits on Card	Tap in the text field to open the numerical keypad. Enter the last four digits of the card that was used to pay the check in question. Tap Search to refresh the search results.
Owner(s)	Tap the blue plus sign to open a list of users. Tap a name to select it. Multiple owners can be selected at one time to include in the search. Tap Search to refresh the search results. Any check that was created by any owner meeting the search criteria will be displayed.
Filter by Guest Identifier, Check # or Table #	Note: The Filter by ... field only appears if the user more than one active check. If there is only one active check, the check will appear in an expanded state: Tap in the text field to filter by guest identifier, check number or table/location number. A keyboard will pop up. Enter a guest identifier, check number or table/location number. Tap Done. The check results will be filtered by the criterion used.
Search results	The search results panel displays the checks found based on the criteria used. If there is more than one check, both checks will be shown collapsed by default. Tap a check to expand and view options to Go to the location or Print the check. To sort results, tap: Number - Sort by location number Total - Sort by check total Name - Sort by guest identifier name

Reset	Tap to clear search criteria Confirm choice on the confirmation window
Search	Tap Search after using any of the search fields to refresh search results
Done	Tap Done to close the checks window
