Tax Calculation

The method used for tax calculation depends on the app version used: 

Versions 4.0 and older:

• Calculate tax on the item

• Round the tax to two decimals on the item

• Sum item taxes by tax type

Version 4.1 (scheduled release 8/1/2016):

• Calculate tax on the item

• Sum item taxes by tax type

• Round the summed tax by tax type at the check level

Currently, tax is rounded on the item level before taxes are summed. In version 4.1, this will be revised to sum the taxes first and then round the summed tax.
