Add/Edit Day Parts

Summary

Day parts are used to define specific periods of time that are used in association with day part menus. 

Configuration 

Log in to Enterprise Content Management. Click Order Entry. From the Sites drop-down menu, click Day Parts

Add Day Part

  • Click Add Day Part

  • In the Add - DayPart pop-up, complete the fields:

Name

Enter the day part nam

Description

Enter the description of the day part

Start Date

The start date that this day part will be available

  • NOTE: This date cannot be set in the future or it will show Null and items will not be shown. Date must be the current date for menu items to show. 

End Date

The end date that this day part will no longer be available

Days of the Week

The days of the week that this day part will be available

Start Time

The start time that this day part will be available each day

End Time

The end time that this day part will no longer be available each da

  • Click Save to save changes and close the pop-up; click Cancel to discard changes and close the pop-up 



IMPORTANT NOTE Start and End times cannot overlap to the following day. They need to be within the confines of the 24-hour clock.

For example:

  • Do not set the time range to 8 AM to 3 AM. This tells the system that you are attempting to schedule from 8AM back to 3AM of that same day, not the next day.

  • Correct this by setting the time range to 8AM - 11:59PM, then create another Day Part and set the time range from 12AM - 3AM.

Edit Day Part

  • Click the edit icon (pencil) next to the day part to be edited 

  • In the Edit - DayPart pop-up, make the changes needed

  • Click Save to save changes and close the pop-up; click Cancel to discard changes and close the pop-up
