Add Component Category
From the Component Categories page, click Add Component Category.
Complete the fields on the Add Component Category page.
Item | Description |
---|---|
Name | Enter the name of the component category |
Description | Enter a description for the component category |
Background color | Click the drop-down arrow and make a selection from the color palette or enter an HTML color code. |
Tag | Can be used for third-party application integrations. Enter a code to use for integration or leave blank. |
Number of placements | Determines the number of ways components in this component category can be split up (e.g., a pizza with 2 placements can be split into left and right side). Configure this setting on menu items, too, that have more than 1 placement. |
Automatically walk guest through ordering process | In guest-facing interface, pop-ups will guide the customer through ordering this item. |
External code | Leave as default value. External codes are used for 3rd-party software integration. |
Show Components
| Determines how components are shown on the on-screen check and guest check.

Automatically add menu item to check when component requirements are met | When selected, menu items are automatically added to the check when component requirements and serving options requirements are met. (Eliminates need to click Add to Order to add components and serving options while ordering.) |
