1. Introduction

This document provides information about the latest updates for NorthStar for your restaurants point-of-sale system.

2. Special Considerations During ECM Upgrades

NorthStar ECM upgrades occur within our cloud servers in the early morning and are not location based. In order to properly access ECM, please make sure you have a constant internet connection and firewalls allow access to our ECM website at ecm.cbsnorthstar.com. Please refer to our NorthStar Order Entry System Requirements for information on firewall allowances and access.   

3. New Features

• Option to allow specific Menu Item Categories as inclusions or not within adjustment reasons setup. Activation of feature is required.

4. Improvements

• Incorporated minor UI enhancements to HotSchedules Integration setup tab with ability to test API credentials

• PLU/Barcode module has been implemented for better management of menu items that utilize bar codes. Activation is required for this module to take effect.

• Minor cosmetic improvements to text and UI

5. Fixes

• App will no longer freeze at login when Maximum Allowed is left blank in Serving Option Category
