Key Code Editor

The new Key Code page allows an admin to edit key codes and deploy them for a user or users.

  • A user's role must have permission to view and edit this page

  • Users may only view sites permitted in Users profile

 

  • Account feature toggle: required: Key Code Editor

Dashboard:

  • Users > Roles - Role must have permission to view/edit Key Codes. 

  • Users > Sites Management - Select the sites the user has permission to view/edit. 

  • Select Users > Key Code

  • The Key Code grid is shown

    • Grid includes: site selection, save/cancel changes, search for user name, deploy users

    • Click in Key Code field to add/change key code

      • Select deploy for items to be deployed

      • Click Deploy Users to publish

Error Conditions

  • Duplicate Key Code

  • Empty key code when deployed

Improved usability of the ECM Access permissions settings by revising the text to make it easier to find report names (listed in alphabetical order) that can be accessed.

Web Ordering API - Ignore menu item availability in POS

 

Sites > Integrations > Web Ordering API 

A new setting has been added to the Web Ordering API Integrations page to allow web orders to be placed for items that are marked not available in the POS system's Menu Manager.

Time Record Adjustments report: Show added and deleted time records 

 

The Time Record Adjustments report has been improved to show time records that have been added or deleted. Deleted records will reflect "true" under Record Deleted.

NorthStar Coupon Offers: Improve redemption rules for duplicate coupon codes 

 

  • Before state: When a coupon was being redeemed and duplicate codes were found, the first coupon code was returned, based on the order when the codes are added. 

  • Improvement: When duplicates are found, redeemable codes will have priority. This involves checking the active flag, date range, and remaining usage count. When none of the codes is redeemable, return the last coupon code.

Printers: Hide checkbox when feature toggle is off 


Printers: Compulsory cash drawer setting disabled until drawer 1 is selected 

 

This is an ECM change only for a feature that will be available in a future release of the POS app. Only the ECM portion of the feature is available. 

 

Sites > Printers 

  • Feature toggle required: 4.8 Compulsory cash drawer

Requirements: 

  • The compulsory cash drawer setting will only be shown when the account feature toggle is selected; if not selected, the setting will not be shown 

  • If the feature toggle is selected, the compulsory cash drawer setting will only be enabled when Drawer 1 is selected; otherwise, it is disabled and cannot be selected.

Staff Facing: Allow loyalty customer details to be masked in POS 

This is an ECM change only for a feature that will be available in a future release of the POS app. Only the ECM portion of the feature is available. 

 

To comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act, loyalty customer details can be masked on the POS app.  

  • Feature toggle required: Allow customer details to be masked

  • Sites > Sites and Groups > Site > Staff facing (tab)

    • New setting added to Staff Facing tab:
      Allow customer details to be masked

Combo menu items, Adjustments: "Apply to all" and "Exclusive" settings cannot be applied at the same time

This is an ECM change only for a feature that will be available in a future release of the POS app. Only the ECM portion of the feature is available. 

 

System will not allow the following two settings to be applied to a combo menu item or to an adjustment reason:

  • Always apply to all eligible items on a check when coupon is scanned

  • Exclusive (Other discounts cannot be applied to check) 

If both settings are selected, an error message is presented and the Save/Cancel buttons are removed.

Peripherals: Add Customer Displays tab; create  UI to add a customer display 

This is an ECM change only for a feature that will be available in a future release of the POS app. Only the ECM portion of the feature is available. 

 

A new feature allows users to add a new type of peripheral: customer display

Sites > Peripherals > Customer Displays (tab)

  • Click Add Customer Display to show form. 

    • Click edit icon (pencil) to edit an existing customer display. 

  • All fields are required. Duplicate names are not allowed.

The Display Type selected will determine any additional required fields:

  • Pole Display - Requires Com Port

  • PAX device, Delphi OCB - Requires IP address

  • Order Entry Device - Requires registered iPad

Combo menu item: Add setting to walk user through combo order 

This is an ECM change only for a feature that will be available in a future release of the POS app. Only the ECM portion of the feature is available. 

 

Products > Menu Items > combo menu item 

A new setting is added: Walk user through combo order

When setting is selected for a combo menu item and the item is ordered, the user will be prompted to select each qualifier required to fulfill the combo requirements.

Printer: Add setting to print duplicate receipt at designated printer 

 

Feature toggle required: Print duplicate receipt 

Sites > Printers 

The Duplicate Receipt Printer allows a duplicate receipt to be printed at the designated printer.

  • When set to None, a duplicate receipt is not printed. 

  • Select a printer from the dropdown list.
