Add a Serving Option Category - archive

When adding a serving option category a user may enter the following

Name - Enter a name for the serving option category.

Description - Enter a description for the serving option category

Background Color - Select a background color for the serving option category button.

Tag - 

Minimum Required - Enter the minimum amount of serving options that must be selected for an item from this category.

Maximum Allowed - Enter the maximum number of serving options allowed when adding serving options to a menu item.

Apply Options to like Components - 

The Apply options to like components applies to components of a menu item.

Given this example (check the images below), I ordered a BYO Taco that requires components for you to be able to add it to your order. The first time I add the Jalapeno component it asks me to choose to a serving option (see 1st image, in red box). In this case the only option is On The Side. The second time I add a Jalapeno component it doesn't ask me to choose for a serving option because we already selected On The Side on the previous component which is the same as the component we're adding.

If the Apply options to like components is unchecked in ECM the app will always prompt the option to choose a serving option.

You also need to take note that the prompt to choose a serving option only shows up when the ECM setting for that component doesn't have a default selected serving option (see 2nd image).
