Summary
Add menu item categories to group individual menu items by one or more categories. These categories are used to group items on menus, e.g., Beverages, Appetizers, etc., for easy ordering.
Configuration
Click Add Menu Item Category to launch the Add window.
Add Menu Item Category

Background Color | Click the drop-down arrow and make a selection from the color palette or enter an HTML color code. This is the background color for the menu item category button that display on the app's ordering screen. |

| Upsell |
Up Sell - Promotes a random Menu Item from a Menu Item Category that was marked for upsell. The upsold menu item is selected based on what the guest has already ordered. The system randomly chooses a menu Item from that category that has not been displayed already.

When enabled, promotes a menu item within the menu item category to be used as a promotional item in guest-facing UI. The selected menu item is based on the guest's order, randomly selected from items that have not been displayed previously. (Requires setting in Promotional Items.) | |
