Summary

A menu item can be configured to allow only specific types of adjustments to be applied to it. This benefits the restaurant by excluding any other adjustments from being applied to a specific menu item.

Example:

  • A restaurant runs a Mother's Day special meal combo (choice of specific food, side and beverage items)
  • The restaurant runs a special Mother's Day discount coupon that only applies to the combo menu item
  • The restaurant does not want other discounts, comps or voids to be available to be applied to the combo menu item
  • To accomplish this, the restaurant excludes all other adjustments from the combo menu item except the Mother's Day discount coupon
