How to Set Up and Use Scales for a Weighed Item

For setting up a new scale:

1. In Enterprise Content Management (ECM), select the Sites tab at the top and edit the site (by clicking the pencil icon on the left of the site name).
2. From the Edit Site tab, select the Scales tab and add new scale.
3. Name the new scale and set the COM port and, if necessary, select to disable it. Save and proceed.

For setting up a weighed item:

1. In ECM, select the Menu Items tab, then select Edit a Menu Item.
2. In the edit menu item window, there will be a flag titled “sell by weight.” Select that option to turn it ON.
3. Enter a value for the tare weight (the weight of the container item will be in)
4. Save all changes. The price per measurement of the item will show on the iPad ordering screen when expanded (select the item on the order screen to expand).
