Application Support

This document defines the information that is required for application support. The information should be complete, enabling the assignee to address the reported issue.

  • Bug - A problem that impairs or prevents the functions of the product
  • Improvement - An improvement or enhancement to an existing feature or task
  • New Feature - features requested by the client
  • Task - A task that needs to be done
  • Customer Support – Customer support request

Information

Include:

  • Description
    • Brief, insightful description of the issue.
  • Name of the customer (if applicable)
  • Contact information (if applicable)
  • App name and version #
  • Processing date (if applicable)
  • Steps to replicate:
    • Detailed steps
  • Expected result
  • Actual result
  • Screen shots
  • Any other pertinent information


Example:

Customer: Perry's Steak House
Recipe Viewer 2.0 (2782)

Description:

The Perryssteakrv.northstarenterprise.com viewer is having difficulty properly displaying the name of groups in the labels. The issue is with the Labal named Pastry Prep. When this label is displayed on the portal, it is displayed as PASTRYPREP.

Button should display PASTRY PREP

Note: The security features do not allow connection using Bomgar to the IIS server, SQL server, and/or the Editor server. Please let me know if you need more information and I will get it for you.

Replication:Issue must be replicated in a lab so as to rule out environmental and\or configuration issues.
