This is a new feature

Creating your own access tokens is a new feature. It may not yet be enabled for your account.

If you would like this enabled, please contact your representative at Custom Business Solutions.

You are in control of your data. Third-party reporting companies require an Access Token to access your restaurant's data. This includes:

  • Restaurant Magic (Data Central)
  • Mirus
  • Compeat
  • Any other partners who access your reporting data

Viewing your access tokens

  1. Sign in to ECM
  2. Navigate to the Access Tokens page in the Admin menu.

Creating a token

Use Each Token Once!

You should not give the same access token to multiple companies. If multiple companies need access to your data, generate a separate token for each company.

  1. Click Add New Token.

  2. Add a Label for your token. This should usually be the name of the company who will use this token.
  3. Click Save Changes.

A token will be generated, which looks like a random series of letters, numbers, and symbols. Give this token to the partner company and they will be able to access your data.

Tokens are for your whole account

You do not need to create a token for each site. A single token grants access to all of your sites.

 

Revoking a token

If you would like to revoke access to your data, click the Revoke button next to a token. The token will immediately no longer be allowed to access your data.
