1. New Features & Improvements

Certain new features and improvements require an account feature toggle be enabled to activate the feature. Contact your NorthStar representative to discuss.
Some items represent a portion of the work required and will be completed in a future application release.

Cash Drawer Assignments

• Dual cash drawers, drawer assignments, cash out drawer

  • Sites can be configured to use dual cash drawers. Users can be assigned to drawers and drawers can be cashed out.

• Users

  • Able to see all users with drawer assignments. 

Cashout

• Cashout: Finalize multiple entire house cashouts 
  
  

  • Managers have the ability to cash out the entire house.

• Report: Cash out by drawer 
  
  

  • Manager able to cash out the drawer separately from user cashout.

Customer Accounts

• Advance Orders: Customer information not required  
  
  

  • Advance Orders can have the option to not require a customer account be attached to an order.

Location Manager

• Access Check Search from Location Manager

  • Able to access checks through the Location Manager instead of just through Check Search button

Payment and Tips

• Adjustments - Refund: In Applied Payments section show the amount of the refund, not the entire check amount 

  • Payment Adjustment Screen displays amount of refund.

• Manage Tips: Sort Payment Type - Apply to all pages in sort results
  
  

  • Sorting of payment types applies to all result pages.

• Payment Processing

  • Signature not required on payment processing 

Printing

• Print menu item button name on receipt

  • Menu Item Button names can

• Counter service: Send orders to kitchen only when finalized
  
  

  • Counter Service can send items to the kitchen when check has been finalized without tapping Send Now or Submit Order.

  • Able to view what time menu items were sent to the kitchen and able to print chit with time sent on it.

Reports

• iPad DSR Report: Show Over/Short, Cash Deposit

Staff UI

• Alternate location: Reattach to default location after scheduling advance order 

• Staff or drawers can be required to enter a cash deposit prior to cashout 

  • If privileges are flagged, staff or cash drawers will be required to enter a cash deposit prior to cashout.

• Discounted Items

  • Discounted items can be moved from one check to another and retain discount.

Time Clock

• Time Clock: Allow overtime calculation rules to be set using configurable thresholds and multipliers

2. Fixes

Advanced Orders

• When loading an advanced order, it no longer displays the "out of stock" error message.

Cashout

• Cashing out with an unfinished transaction and/or adding a deposit no longer displays an error message.

• Cashout reports for staff, drawer and entire house correctly print cash deposit and over/short. (In Progress)

Checks

• Able to apply tax exempt to a whole check or separate menu items.

• Workflow of a comp'd check within multiple checks has been changed. Comp'd checks display last while other checks with balances are displayed first for payment. 

• Send When Finalize: Adjusted 

Kitchen 

• Seat Numbers print in line with ordered menu items on kitchen chit.

Kiosk

• Second ordered items send to kitchen properly when "payment not allowed" is enabled. 

Online Orders

• Cancel button not applicable on a loaded web order. 

Printing

• Corrected spacing on receipt via watermark when time sent is printed.

Processor

• Credit card payments through Bluetooth payment device no longer displays error when processor payment is successful.

Reporting

• Labor section on iPad DSR, user, area and drawer filters are disabled.

Staff UI

• Counter service orders park properly once sent.

• Discounts are applied to checks correctly.

• Checks details match from receipt to payment screen to check detail in check search.

Time Clock

• Able to adjust last clock-out on last pay period day past midnight.
