Summary

The Tax Rates tab displays the following information for each of the tax rates created on the Tax Types page:

*Click on a field to edit the content.

  • If the tax type is enabled or disabled
  • Name of the tax type
  • The % of the tax type
  • Whether or not to display the tax type separately on the software & receipt
  • The display name of the tax type

To view how multiple tax rates are displayed on the software or a receipt please refer to the following pages:all taxes existent in the concept. Taxes can be enabled or disabled by site to be allowed by the site, but must be enabled on each menu item to apply to the item. 

Configuration

  1. Check the box under "Enabled" to enable a tax for a site. Click in the tax rate % field to adjust the tax rate. Tax rates only apply for the current site.

2. Go to each menu item to which the tax will apply. Select the Taxes tab and select the taxes desired under Tax Eligibility.

3. Go the Categories > Menu. Select the menu desired. On the General tab, checkmark the taxes to be applied to this menu.

Although taxes are created at a concept level, taxes that are not enabled on the menu the item is ordered from will not apply (even if the item has the tax enabled).


Operation

If taxes are not configured to display separately, the tax total will display as a single line item under the title "Tax Total." (Image at left)

If they are configured to display separately, each tax name will display as an individual line item. (Image at right)
