Gift card sales are captured as a non-revenue sale. No menu items were purchased. When a menu item is purchased with a gift card, that purchase is captured as revenue.
Guest-facing:
As of this writing, the guest facing mode only supports gift card payment through the Magtek swipe reader. Gift card payment cannot be made through the Paytronix device by the guest. Note that when a gift card is sold, it is captured as non-revenue because no menu items were purchased. When a menu item is purchased with a gift card, that purchase is captured as revenue.
