1. Introduction

This document provides information about the latest updates for NorthStar for your restaurants point-of-sale system.

2. Special Considerations During Upgrade

The NorthStar Server upgrades are scheduled and then deployed via our cloud software to all restaurant locations during the end-of-day process.

It is important that the server at the location meets the proper system requirements while maintaining constant internet connectivity or the server will not receive the proper scheduled upgrade.

Please adhere to the System Requirementss page to make sure that your current system hasn't encountered any changes that could fluctuate, i.e. limited Hard Drive space and firewall allowances.    

3. New Features

NOTE - Some new features and improvements require activation on accounts that wish to use them. Contact your account manager to discuss and activate, if applicable.

• [OE-7237] - Order Entry - Apply Automatic Gratuity - % of net sales - value of gratuity on check screen (ordering menu) is based on original price
• [OE-7497] - Failed test: QSR log (QSRKitchenConnector) shows that only the updated components are sent to the QSR not the Order Type
• [OE-7762] - Adjustment report (summarized/detailed): Discount and Refund Adj amounts are incorrect when a refund is applied to a discounted item
• [OE-8805] - Hourly Sales and Labor Report: 12pm label broken onto two lines; totals at top are left-aligned; dollar values should be right-aligned
• [OE-8863] - Timeclock: User gets "must log in with Mag card" message when job is changed after clock-in

• [OE-11663] - (NV) Guest-facing: Numeric keypad for Suggested Gratuity (Enter Amount) became a popover; should be fixed on the screen (worked previously)
• [OE-11665] - Loyalty: Updated customer information in the Paytronix Fuji site is not reflected on the app
• [OE-11666] - Time Clock Adjustments: Time adjustment numpad is not aligned properly (worked previously)

• [OE-11668] - 2 iPads Sync: Red text indicator is not displayed for the first split item on the second iPad
