Add Serving Option Category
From the Serving Option Categories page, click Add Serving Option Category to open the Add window.
Complete the fields on the Add Serving Option Category page.

| Name | Enter the name of the serving option category |
| Description | Enter a description for the serving option category |
| Background color | Click the drop-down arrow and make a selection from the color palette or enter an HTML color code. |
| Tag | Can be used for third-party application integrations. Enter a code to use for integration or leave blank. |
| Minimum Required | Minimum number of serving options that must be selected in this category |
| Maximum Allowed | Maximum number of serving options in this category that may be added to a menu item |
| External code | Identifier field used by external systems/third-party integrations. Leave as default value. |
| Apply options to like components | When a serving option is selected for a component, the next time that component is added, the same serving option will be applied. If this setting is not selected, the app will prompt to choose a serving option. Ex. Toast is a component. The serving options for toast are Add butter or No butter. The guest orders toast with butter. If they order toast again on the order, it will default to Add butter as the serving option.. |
| Prompt the guest to confirm selected serving option | After selecting a serving option, a pop-up confirmation window prompts the guest to confirm their selection. |
| Automatically add menu item to check when serving option requirements are met | When selected, menu items are automatically added to the check when serving options requirements are met. (Eliminates need to click Add to Order to add components and serving options while ordering.) |
