Payment Terminal Setup
IMPORTANT
IT IS CRITICAL THAT THE TERMINAL IS SET UP IN BROADPOS PRIOR TO ATTEMPTING THE ACTIVATION STEPS BELOW.
First verify that the terminal information has been entered into BroadPOS. Do not proceed until this has been verified.
Plug in the network cable.
Plug in the terminal.
Make sure the date and time on the terminal are correct for the site's location. (Date/time settings are critical. Do not skip this step.)
The menu screen displays with "WELCOME! PRESS MENU KEY".
Touch Menu on the screen. The Main Menu displays.
Ensure System Settings is selected, then press Enter (green key). The System Options menu displays.
Select Date/TimeSetup, then press Enter. The date and time setup screen display.
NOTE: the S300 screen may display two different screens.Enter the date in MM/DD/YYYY format. There are no prompts – just start pushing buttons.
Press Enter. Nothing appears to happen on the D210 (the S300 may change screens).
Enter the time in HH:MM:SS 24-hour format. There are no prompts – just start pushing buttons.
NOTE: 24-hour format. 15:43:00 means 3:43 PM.
Press Enter. You return to the System Options menu.
Pres Cancel (red button). You return to the Main Menu.
If the device fails to activate online:
S300:Navigate to the Main Menu.
Touch Communication.
Touch LAN Parameters.
Touch LAN Type.
Make sure LAN Type: 1 is displayed. It's much easier to set up after the device downloads all of its information. For this purpose, DHCP is preferred.
Touch the Back arrow or Cancel (red X).
Touch IP Address. Ensure that a local IP address has been given to the device.
Continue to touch Cancel (red X) until you return to the Main Menu.
Touch System Settings.
Touch App Management. You are prompted for a password.
Type the current date in the format MMDDYYYY. If this password does not work, type in tomorrow's date in the same format. The App Load screen displays.
Touch Activate.
Touch Online. The terminal attempts to activate.
Power cycle the terminal. The terminal should start downloading updates.

Touch Communication
Touch Main Comm
Set to Wifi
Touch Wifi Parameters
Make sure the Network settings are correct
Set to DHCP NOT STATIC
If the payment terminal fails to activate:
Touch Configuration on the App Management menu.
Verify/set the server URL to: t.broadpos.com
And verify/set the server port to 9120
If the terminal fails to activate again, power-cycle the terminal by removing the power cable.
Power cycle the terminal. The terminal should start downloading updates.
