INSTALLING A CHECK OR PREP PRINTER IN WINDOWS FOR ORDER ENTRY

Tools: Epson Advanced Printer Driver Ver.5

1.    In \\hq-file1\Shared\Install\NorthStar\NorthStar Order Entry\NSOE Printer Drivers\ , there is an executable APD_507_T88V.exe. Take the exe file and install it on the Order Entry Server.

2.    Opening the installer , click “Next”

 

 

3.    “Accept the terms of the license agreement” and click “Next”

 

 

 

 

 

4.    Click “Next”

 

5.   

  1. Click “New Printer”
  2. Type the Name of printer (This needs to match the name that is listed in ECM) 
  3. Under Port Type Select Ethernet


 

 

6.    Once Ethernet is selected you will be able to enter the IP Address of the Printer. Thereafter click on the Save Settings button

 

 

7.   Once the settings are saved you will be prompted to perform a test print. HIt yes to perform the test print. 

 

8. To edit, add, or change printers, launch EPSON APD5 - Register, change, or delete TM Printer

This is normally in the Start Menu under EPSON. In Windows 8 you can search for EPSON APD5 in the Title menu and you will be able to see this application.
