NorthStar Order now supports Coin Changer.  The make and model of the coin changer is a TeleQuip Model XXX.

Coin Changer interface has a requirement to interface to the Application Server via a serial port.  Typically this will require a serial port server.Again make sure that the coin changes is attached the Lantronix box and the box has been setup. 

Steps to configure a coin changer. 

  • Log on to ECM
  • Select a site to Edit
  • Select Peripherals
  • Select Coin Changer
  • Add Coin Changer
  • Configure Coin Changer Name
  • Configure Coin Changer Port
  • Save Changes
  • Select Devices
  • Select Device to integrate coin changer to
  • Select Device Peripherals and choose drop down from Available Coin Dispensers
  • Save work
  • Deploy Changes for site

 

 

Log on to ECM

Select a site to Edit

Select Coin Changer from the Edit Site list of tabs

Add Coin Changer - this will allow you to configure a new coin changer

Configure Coin Changer Name - put a logical name on the Coin Changer so it will be clear to identify

Configure Coin Changer Port - each coin dispenser will be connected to a serial port.

Save work

 

Select Devices - each coin dispenser will need to connected to a terminal.

Select Device to integrate coin changer to, each coin dispenser needs to connected to a particular terminal

Select Coin Changer to have terminal integrated to

Publish Changes for siteTroubleshooting:

In the event that the coin changer doesn't work, make sure to log into the Lantronix web page and verify these settings are correct. 

For the UDS2100 (2-Port) make sure the physical port you're attaching this coin dispenser to has these settings for it:

For the EDS4100 (4-Port) make sure the physical port you're attaching this coin dispenser to has these settings for it. It's a little different web page than the 2-Port, but has the same concept:
