IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you are installing more than 1 of these one Lantronix devices device at a location, they must be installed ONE AT A TIME. Default IP conflicts may occur if set up at the same time.

  • Open the Device Installer folder and run the setup_di_x86x64cd_4.4.0.2RC3 program. It's straight forwardstraightforward.
  • Once installed, click on the Device Installer program and you will see this screen. It should immediately show all the Lantronix devices on the network. If it doesn't populate, you can click on click SEARCH on the top left , and it will detect them all.

  • Click the device name, then click Assign IP. In this option, you can assign an IP automatically or assign a static IP to the boxes.
  • Once you've assigned a proper IP to the boxes, you can log into their Web Configuration in to their web configuration by inputting their IP Addresses addresses in a Web Browerweb browser. You can also access their Web Configuration web configuration pages in the Device Installer by clicking on the devices and clicking on the Web Configuration tab on the right. Both have a different Web Configuration  Each hasa different web configuration page:

Step 2:

  • Open the Secure Com Port Redirector folder then run the program setup_cpr_x86x64cd_4.3.0.3 to install the 2nd program that will allow you to assign ports to the Lantronix boxes. 
  • This will install the CPR Manager. The screen will look like this when first opened. 
    (IMPORTANT NOTE: It will detect which ports are immediately inaccessible on the left side under the Com Ports section)Image Removed

  • Now press Press Search For Devices and this ; this will populate the lower area with any Lantronix devices you have on the network. You can double Double-click the devices and it will to expand them to show how many ports they have available. In my the screenshot, I have both the 2-Port (.200) and the 4-Port (.38) devices expanded.

  • Next click on Click Add/Remove on the top left and it will to display all the available virtual ports that you can assign be assigned to the Lantronix boxes.Image Removed

  • Since I'm working with the 4-Portport, I'll be flagging the next 4 available ports on this screen. For this, I chose #7 to - #10 and click clicked OK.
    (NOTE: If you want to remove the virtual ports, you can go to this screen and deselect the virtual ports you don't want and , click OK then click Save at the top)Image Removed

  • After this, it will display the ports you just flagged on the left side under Com Ports. They will be highlighted in a red color to show with the word New to indicate they were just added  along with a tag that says (New)

  • Next click on one of the coms you just created. I will click on Com 7 and it will to show the settings for that Com on in the right sidepane. -Make sure to scroll
  • Scroll down to the bottom of its settings until you see the Service, Host, and TCP Port section. Image Removed

  • You can click on the next virtual com port you're going to assign. For this part, it would be Com 8. 
      -Just like last time
      • As before, scroll down till you get to the Host and Service section of the Com's settings.

    • Add the next consecutive virtual ports in the same manner and , then hit SAVE at the top. Once When finished, you can input them under the site's Peripherals tab in ECM that correspond corresponds with where the physical device is attached to on the Lantronix. 
      Example: Since I assigned Com 7 to the physical port 1 on the Lantronix box, then if I attach a Customer Display Unit on the Lantronix box on the physical port 1, then I will enter it as Com 7 in ECM.
