Summary
In guest-facing mode, the guest can tap Need Something? to access either the Convenience Center or to call a server for assistance, depending on the site's configuration.
- The Convenience Center provides quick, easy-to-find functions that the user can access without the assistance of staff.
Configuration
Configuration for the convenience center is addressed in Sites, Convenience Center Categories (if applicable) and Menu Items (if applicable).
Site
- In ECM, go to Sites > Guest Facing
- Under Need Something Button, select Display Convenience Center
- Click Save
- Call a server immediately sends a request to the server
Configuration - Convenience Center
Menu items can be configured to be ordered from the Convenience Center's Quick Orders feature.
- Categories: Add a convenience center category
- Menu items: Select the convenience center category to be applied to menu items that will be available for quick orders
- Site: Select Display Convenience Center in Guest Facing
Add Convenience Center Category
To display items for quick ordering in the convenience center, create a convenience center category and add menu items to the category.
- Go to Categories > Convenience Center Categories
- Click Add Category to add a Convenience Center Category Click Edit to edit Category or edit (pencil icon) an existing category
- Check Active

- Select menu items to add to the convenience center category
- Deploy changes
Operation
To use the convenience center:
- Tap Need Something Enter Name and Description
- Select Active
- Click Save to save changes or Cancel to discard changes
Select convenience center category for menu items
- Edit menu item
- Select the convenience center category to be applied to the menu item
- Save and deploy changes
Site
- In ECM, go to Sites > Guest Facing
- Under Need Something Button, select Display Convenience Center
- Click Save
Convenience Center Operation
- Tap Need Something? from the home bar in guest-facing mode
- The pop-up will display quick, easy-to-find functions that the user can access without the assistance of staff:
- Call my server
- Check gift card balance
- Quick Orders - These are the items added to the convenience center categories in ECM
- Refills and Reorders - Previous orders that can be refilled or reordered can be displayed here
- Place my order - Tap to submit order

Configuration - Call a server immediately
- On the Guest Facing tab, under Need Something Button, select Call a server immediately
- Save and deploy changes
Operation
- Tap Need Something?
- A pop-up message advises that the request for assistance has been sent to the server
- A chit also prints to notify the server
